Camille M. Evans
Mrs. Evans’ practice is primarily focused on serving as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriters’ counsel, bank counsel and special counsel for various types of tax-exempt and taxable public finance transactions. Mrs. Evans also practices in the area of estate planning, assisting clients with wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care directives.
In municipal finance, Mrs. Evans has worked on more than 130 transactions throughout the state of Florida, totaling an aggregate principal amount of approximately $6 billion. Mrs. Evans has considerable experience with several security features such as limited and general obligation pledges; covenant to budget and appropriate; tax increment; utility revenues; special assessments and sales, fuel, and excise taxes. She also has particular expertise in tax-exempt and taxable financing structures including Build America Bonds, current and advance refundings, certificates of participation, commercial paper, letters of credit, derivatives, and equipment lease transactions. She has represented a broad array of municipal issuers in many sectors such as airports; transportation; water, sewer and electric utilities; education and industrial development. Mrs. Evans’ professional affiliations and memberships include the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the Orange County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association. She also served as a Florida Voting Rights Attorney during the 2008 Presidential Election.
Mrs. Evans is active in community and civic affairs. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Wayne Densch YMCA and a member of St. Mark AME Church. She is also a volunteer for the Orange County Bar Association's Teen Parent Education Program.
Mrs. Evans graduated with Honors from Florida State University College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy Analysis (specializing in economic development) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Mrs. Evans is devoted to her family, as wife to Joe and mother to Joey, Joshua and Joelle.
